Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Shows to Focus on Health
Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced that she will be postponing her highly awaited Las Vegas residency, which was originally planned for the end of 2025. The decision comes after doctors advised her to slow down and undergo a series of medical checkups and treatments.

Why Dolly Made the Tough Decision
The 79-year-old singer explained that although she had been preparing for the big run of shows, her health needed to come first. According to Dolly, her doctors scheduled several procedures that would make it impossible for her to rehearse or perform at her best. She admitted that while she hates disappointing her fans, she wants to give them the quality show they deserve — and that means waiting until she’s fully recovered.
New Dates for the Residency
The concerts were originally scheduled for December 2025 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. They will now take place in September 2026, giving Dolly enough time to heal and get back on stage with full energy. Fans who already bought tickets will be able to use them for the new dates or request a refund if they cannot attend.

A Difficult Year for the Icon
This isn’t the first health setback Dolly has faced in recent months. Earlier in September, she had to miss a public appearance at Dollywood after experiencing complications from a kidney stone. That incident seems to have reminded her, and fans, that even superstars have to listen to their bodies.

Fans Show Support
Although many were sad to hear about the delay, the reaction has been overwhelmingly supportive. Social media was flooded with messages of love, prayers, and encouragement for Dolly. Longtime followers said they’d rather wait another year than see her risk her health.

Dolly’s Promise to Fans
Despite the postponement, Dolly reassured everyone that she has no plans to step away from music or performing. She reminded fans that she’s simply taking a break to ensure her shows are worth the wait. Known for her resilience and positive outlook, she promised to return to the stage “better than ever.”
